Is it legal to
own a real slot machine in Utah?
Yes, they are legal to own as long as they are not used for
gambling. Having a machine in your basement game room filled with
your own money and used by your friends and family purely for fun is
perfectly fine. Using the machines as part of a gambling operation
is NOT LEGAL! For additional information, you can view our
legal page by

Do the slot
machines take real money, or just tokens?
We
try to keep the machines the same as they were when owned by the
casino - which means they take real coins (i.e. $0.05, $0.10, $0.25,
etc.). Most have bill validators so they are able to accept paper
bills as well (i.e. $1.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, etc.). $1.00
machines in casinos will often take $1.00 tokens as well, so these
particular machines are left this way and will still take $1.00
tokens.
Not
only does every $1.00 machine come with 100 tokens as part of your
purchase, but we sell them separately as well. We can even convert
the machines to accept whatever you would like - real coins or
tokens!

Is it possible
to change how often the machines pay out?
Absolutely. The payout percentage for most machines is between 80% &
98% (regulated by the Nevada Gaming Commission). This percentage is
controlled by EPROM chips within the machines. When you purchase a
unit from us, you will be advised of the exact payout percentage of
your unit. Should you ever want to change the payout percentage, we
offer a wide selection of chips available for you to purchase.

I've seen some pretty cheap deals on websites like eBay. Why shouldn't I
just purchase one that way?
Sure, you can find some pretty cheap deals on
other websites. But, as with most things, we believe you get what
you pay for. You will more than likely be making your purchase sight
unseen. You will also have to pay for shipping, and our experience
has not been good in that department. Most machines we have received
in this way have arrived damaged. Many of them had broken glass, despite
all the nice packaging and crating. And with some of these machines, the
glass can be very difficult and/or expensive to replace.
To help reduce the likelihood of shipping
damage, you would need to spend at least $300 or so to properly ship
a unit. Spending any less is inviting trouble.
Also, beware of the cheap Pachislo machines
for sale all over eBay. These are not real slot machines and will
not hold up. Don't be fooled. There is simply no comparison to an
authentic casino slot machine!

Those are some good points. Anything else?
When you purchase on eBay, who can you
honestly turn to in the event that the machine no longer works for
some reason? And who will show you how to properly operate and care
for your investment? The seller?
Granted, there are some good slot machine
dealers on eBay who will back their products (as best they can from
half-way across the country), but do you want all of your support to
come via telephone? Plus, when purchasing from one of these
"higher-end" dealers, you're more than likely going to pay a
"higher-end" price as well! And then there's the shipping cost!
We offer full service and warranties on our
machines so that you can have piece of mind and get the most from
your purchase. In fact, if you find a machine being offered
somewhere else for a better price, just give us a call, and we will
meet or beat the price of any legitimate dealer for the exact same
item!

How heavy are these machines?
The slots machines usually weigh about 250
lbs, so you will need something sturdy to set them on.

Do the machines come with stands?
The slot stands are sold separately, but we
have a large selection of heavy duty cabinets with locking doors.
Most machines have already been fastened to a stand by the casinos,
and these stands can be purchased in combination for only $50 - $75.00
more!

What if I need to have a machine repaired?
Every machine comes with a full 1-year parts
and labor warranty (excluding machines sold as part of a special
offer - see our
WARRANTY page for details). During this period, we will repair
the machine for free. If desired, you may extend the warranty to 2
full years for a nominal fee. Outside the warranty period, we stock
and/or can order most parts.
These models are retired from the casinos
because they have become obsolete and are no longer supported by the
manufacturer - meaning no new machines are being produced. Put
simply, as new models are introduced, the old models are
discontinued.
Aftermarket parts are available in both new
and used condition. As time goes on, these parts may become harder
to find, and considerably more expensive to purchase. We usually
recommend that our customers stock up on a few critical components
that will ensure the life of the machines for many years to come.
More information is available upon request.

Can I change the game on my machine if I want to try something new?
Absolutely! The games can be changed by
replacing the glass, reel strips, and computer chips with those for
another game. These components are referred to as a Game Kit.
We stock various game kits and will even install them for you. We
can even change the denomination of the game if you so desire (i.e.
from $0.05 to $1.00, or vise versa).
